From Passage to Ratification with State Ratification Dates

​​May 21, 1919 - The U.S. House of Representatives passes the 19th Amendment.

June 4, 1919 - The U.S. Senate passes the 19th Amendment, and it goes to the states for ratification. Thirty-six states must ratify for the Amendment to become law.
